Cheerleading Coaching

CHEER COACH
All squads will have at least one coach who is an active member at a church, and all must go through a screening process. Coaches will go through a criminal background check and potentially may have to provide personal references. (We do this for the safety of the kids and families involved in Upward).

We do provide training for coaches and expect all who volunteer for this position to go through the training. Dates for training are given when registration begins.

Time Commitment: 2.5 hours/week

Prays for the Upward League throughout the season

Skills Needed: Able to talk with God

Shares a 2-3 minute devotion at half-time during the games.
