About the Event
Help communities that are still rebuilding following flooding from Hurricane Helene. We will most likely be staying in Johnson City, TN, and traveling into small communities out in the mountains during the day.
In partnership with IDES, we will help repair structures so that individual families and churches have facilities they can live in and use. This work can include demo work, clean up, rebuilding, painting, etc. We often don't know the details of our assignment until the trip is close and sometimes the needs change once we arrive. Attend with a servant's heart and be ready to be flexible to meet the needs as God places them in front of us on this trip.
COST
Attendees are responsible for providing/paying for the following:
- individual meals when traveling there and back
- an air mattress (we will sleep in a facility provided by the local church)
- muck boots, if needed (we have a connection for these wholesale and can help you get them if they are needed for the trip)
Team Development Sessions
Team meetings are essential for team building, gaining a clearer purpose/vision of the trip, spiritual preparation, and logistics. Attendance at team meetings is mandatory.
