Baptism is one of the most significant spiritual markers in the life of a believer. It's an outward expression of an inward transformation. Our elders, pastors and baptism team are here to walk with you as you take this important step and develop your faith in Jesus.
Baptism is an outward declaration of an inward transformation. Although He was perfect in every way, Jesus modeled baptism, and we follow His example. Baptism is a step of obedience for followers of Jesus. It symbolizes putting aside our own selfish life and choosing to follow Jesus and live for Him.
You can be baptized when you have accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. We encourage you to have conversations with a pastor or friend leading up to your baptism to help you understand salvation and your new identity as a follower of Jesus. These conversations will help guide you in sharing your personal faith story and toward next steps in developing your faith.
Any baptized believer may baptize you: a pastor, elder, parent, friend, etc. If needed, we can provide coaching for the person doing the baptism. We will provide you with a dark colored t-shirt. You may wear that or any other dark colored t-shirt and shorts. Some people choose to wear a swimsuit underneath. We'll provide towels to dry off and a bag for your wet clothes. If you don't bring clothes for baptism, we have shorts and t-shirts available for you.
