BABIES (up to age 2):

Infant Room | Available during all services, Thursday and Sunday

All children, from birth to 12 months are cared for in our nursery by loving, qualified volunteers.  We build a sense of trust as the child's immediate needs are met. This builds a foundation for their relationship with God and for what they will learn as they advance through our NextGen programming.

Toddler Room | Available during all services, Thursday and Sunday

As young children begin walking at approximately 12 months up to 24 months, children see God and the church through their first experience of a more structured classroom. Positive attitudes of love, acceptance and security are formed through experiences in the classroom and interaction with the teachers. Bible stories, Bible verses and songs will be taught and repeated on a regular basis.

We seek to fulfill our mission by modeling God's love, providing a safe environment, ensuring that each child feels secure, arranging a child-centered atmosphere and furnishing hands-on activities.

More about the Babies at WRCC

The little ones have a place to learn about Jesus and find the love of Jesus every week. Our programming for infants and toddlers runs concurrently with all adult worship services on Thursday and Sunday.

When your child arrives here on Sunday morning they will be welcomed by our loving volunteer team. Each one of our volunteers are committed to keeping your child safe as well as sharing Jesus with them. Our goal is to teach children the Bible basics that will help them to create a heart for Jesus. Each room will be designed to reach each child that enters.

How many classrooms do we have?

We have a total of thirteen rooms for our children newborn to five years old. All classrooms are open from 8:45 am to 12:00 pm.

How are the volunteers screened?

Every volunteer must complete a Volunteer Application, secure three references, and sign a consent form for a criminal background check to be run. We complete national background checks on all volunteers who work every week with the children.

How will you get me if my child needs me?

If your child needs you at anytime during the service we will contact you in the following ways. If you are in the worship center we will have you child's number from the name tag appear up on the screens at the front of the worship center. If you are in another part of the church serving or volunteering, you would have placed that information on the sign in sheet and/or you would have taken a pager and we will page you.

How do I check my child into and out of a classroom?

When parents drop their children off, they receive a numbered security tag. Their child gets the corresponding numbered tag clipped to their shirt. The parent must present the correct security tag to the teacher at the end of the hour in order to pick up their child. We also use the security tag number to page parents from the service if their child needs them during the hour.

What happens in my child's classroom during service?

We will provide a bible lesson, a craft, a snack and playtime during each service. The snack of the day will be displayed on the check in counter for your information. Each Sunday your child will receive a take home story card to build a Bible book over the course of the year. Binders are available at each counter for the take home cards.
