Until the Whole World Hears

Just before Jesus ascended into heaven He said that we will receive power, when the Holy Spirit has come upon us: and we shall be His witnesses in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:8) Earlier He had said – "this gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." It is clear from these very words of Jesus that He expects, even commands, that we tell others about Him.

Until the whole world hears – that is a massive undertaking. It can be overwhelming and intimidating. How can we as an individual or even a church take on that task? But do we have a choice? Does Jesus really allow us to present excuses? No! He commands and since He commands – we obey. That is what we agreed to do when we accepted Jesus as our Savior and Lord. We chose at that moment of belief that we would obey and follow.

Jesus gave us the plan. We are to start where we live and work and then from there continue pressing forward until the whole world, every nation, every ethnic group, every language hears the message of salvation in Jesus. So we begin in Noblesville and Hamilton County. We do that individually and as a congregation. From there we continue to other parts of our own country – Ohio, Appalachia, New Orleans. But we can't stop there. We go to the countries near us like Mexico, Haiti, and Panama but then we continue going further. Currently as a congregation we reach out to those more distant lands like Ukraine, Republic of Georgia, and Kenya. Until the whole world hears . . . we will continue to ask God where else He is taking us. What other parts of the world has He assigned to us?

No one person can do the task but Jesus gave this task to His Church. What part does He want you to take in this great undertaking? Ask Him, "God, what do you want me to do? God, where do you want me to go?"

What Countries does White River Support?

Panama/Costa Rica | Central America

David's Well establishes churches throughout Latin America while demonstrating the love of God by providing food, medical attention, school supplies, safe drinking water, agricultural developments, and building projects along with sharing the Word of God. Over 15,000 people have been led to the Lord Jesus Christ since the mission was started in 1987. There are 160 congregations with more than 50 trained pastors, 40 schools, 5 medical clinics in remote villages, and volunteer doctors who make bi-monthly trips to outlying communities.

Haiti | Greater Antilles

In January of 2010 a massive earthquake rocked the Caribbean Island country of Haiti. The country has long been one of the most impoverished nations on earth. More than 200,000 people lost their lives in the earthquake and pushed the country into even more misery. WRCC believes that God has called us to help bring relief. We have already sent financial support, food, and a small team. We are partnering with Damou Christian Mission which has a track record of more than 25 years of working among the impoverished people. In 2010 we will be sending a team to build and provide direct care and relief.

Kenya | East Africa

WRCC serves alongside of Christian Missionary Fund (CMF) in supporting their Kenya outreach. This ministry works among the urban poor of Nairobi and among the Maasai people. Transformation comes through providing education, clothing, and adequate nutrition to the orphans and vulnerable children in Mathare, one of the worst slums in Africa. Among the Maasai there are eight clinics to treat tropical diseases, immunize children, and to help combat the HIV/AIDS crisis with testing, counseling, medical treatment and home-based care. Spiritual transformation comes through preaching the Gospel and planting strong congregations with Kenyan leadership.

Ukraine | Eastern Europe

Tavriski Christian Institute (TCI), established in the 1990's, is a conservative evangelical seminary located in Kherson in southern Ukraine. TCI trains pastors for practical ministry in expanding God's Kingdom. Today TCI unites 102 students from five different evangelical denominations and 8 former Soviet Block nations. We believe that the Lord has intended Ukraine to become the source of well equipped ministers for the extension of His Kingdom in the former Soviet Union and other countries. TCI has an important role in that plan.

Republic of Georgia | Eurasia

WRCC helped pave the way for the development of the TCI Georgia Extension through a preliminary investigative trip to Georgia and a subsequent trip of prayer & encouragement shortly after the Russian invasion. Pastors Timothy Brock and Dan Crosley taught one of the first courses at this new TCI Extension in early 2009. Young leaders in Georgia, along with others from neighboring Azerbaijan and Armenia have been invited to study in this extension institute. This trained leadership will be instrumental in planting strong churches.

Queretero | Central Mexico

The National Bible Institute is located in Queretero, Mexico. Fully staffed by Mexican Nationals, the Institute is a co-ed college that currently has 31 students. Students study during the week to become pastors. On the weekends they put into practice what they have learned by taking the gospel to adjacent areas. Thus, while being trained, students actively participate in hands-on efforts throughout Mexico working especially among the poorer colonies in towns and cities.

Dan Crosley - Global Expansion Pastor

Dan's passion is for those in the far reaches of the world. He also leads our local Hispanic Outreach.
