"The Ice Cream Cone Model" ~ EQUIP, INVOLVE, LIVE!

EXPOSE MINISTRIES:
Show God's love through practical acts of service and kindness; A great entry point into our community

SECOND SATURDAYS:
Jesus said the "2nd" Greatest Commandment was equally important as the 1st: To love our neighbors as ourselves.  On the 2nd Saturday of the month, we will have the opportunity to love & serve our neighbors in Jesus' Name.
These minsitry opportunities will launch in early 08' and will provide the opportunity for us to Go & Be the Body of Christ, united in our community.  We will be serving and sharing God's love with the people He brings our way.  These opportunities will occur every 2nd Saturday of each month from 8:30am-12:00pm.

Community Events:
We've selected a handful of community events in which we'll serve and share the love of Christ as we meet our neighbors.  We need large groups of volunteers to show God's love as the body of Christ engages the people of our community, where they would naturally gather.  These ministry opportunities include:

  • July 4th Parade - July 4th
  • Street Dance - July 22nd
  • Holiday Parade - November
  • Farmer's Market - Summer

Neighborhood Steak Outs:
This is a new ministry opportunity that is exciting to be a part of.  This minsitry will operate on 2 different levels.  The first level will be a corporate group of believers going out into a neighborhood to serve food, play games, and meet our neighbors in Jesus' Name.  These will occur at various times during the year.  The second level would be doing the same, but on a personal level in your own backyard.  We want to train, equip, & resource you to show the love of Christ to the neighbors you live by in this practical way.  Our plan is to provide you with a fresh approch to both loving & serving your neighbors as Jesus did.

EXPERIENCE MINISTRIES:
Show God's love by serving and investing in more committed relationships with the people of our community

Harvest Parties @ Home:
Stay home & show the love of Jesus through practical ways.  Set up a table with candy, hot chocolate/coffee, and glow sticks.  Being present in your neighborhood and getting to know your neighbors will open doors of opportunity for lasting relationships and eternal conversations.

commUNITY home build:
We have partnered with Crossroads Missions and Habitat for Humanity to bring you a minsitry opportunity for the whole family.  You'll serve side by side with people from WRCC and people from our community.  In August of 2007, God led us to build 6 Habitat homes for 6 single mothers in need.  This is a life changing ministry event for the entire family.

Easter Outreach ~ Palm Sunday
Every year on Palm Sunday, a group of Community Works volunteers load up and bring 100 elderly neighbors at Noble Manor an Easter blessing. We pray each person and family would be able to share a wonderful meal together as we celebrate our Lord Jesus' resurrection. If you are serving with us on Sunday, April 1st, please arrive at the church by 5:45pm and we will finish our evening back at the church by 8:00pm. If you have any other questions, please call Derek Lynas @ 773-2233 ext. 129.

Thanksgiving Outreach
Every year around Thanksgiving, we partner with the Good Samaritan ministry to provide and serve a warm Thanksgiving meal to anyone in our community. This meal is for all who may want to share a meal with friends, have no other family in town, or simply need a place to be warm and well fed. On the morning before the meal, hundreds of volunteers also prepare, package, and deliver hot meals to people in our community. For more information on dates, times, etc..., please contact the church office at 773-2233.

Back to School Outreach
We understand how difficult it can be to get children ready and prepared for school. So we have partnered with Shoe Carnival of Noblesville to provide shoes & socks for hundreds of families in need. Please contact the church office at 773-2233 for more information.

Christmas Outreach
The Angel Tree ministry is a major part of our Christmas Outreach. We believe that every family should be filled up with gifts and good food during the Christmas season. Each child per family will receive 3 clothing items and 3 toys from a loving family. Also, each family will receive plenty of food to share God's love around the table. If your family or another family you know may benefit from this blessing, please contact the church office at 773-2233 for more information.

God has a lot to share with us about money through His Word. Many of us struggle with balancing our checkbook, making ends meet, and putting together a simple budget. Crown Ministries has put together an amazing class that can help bring peace to life as we examine what The Bible has to teach us about money and how to handle it. If you or someone you know could benefit from one of these classes, please contact the church office at 773-2233 to find out when the next one is available. Sign up online today
