Being a Prayer MissionaryDruing our Missions Sunday in April we encouraged everyone to Become a Prayer Missionary - praying for our missionaries and for the nations of the world to come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord. Here are some updates from our missionaries. Praise God for the answers to prayer and continue to pray for God to be at work through these missions. David's Well – Panama & Costa RicaPraise and Thanksgiving – 13 people won to the Lord in Costa Rica. For the last few weeks we have been praying for the evangelists of David’s Well by name. Two of them recently held an evangelistic campaign in Costa Rica and as a result thirteen people gave their lives to the Lord. Praise the Lord for 20 new Christians in the distant mountain village of Llano Ñoco. Evangelists Ernesto and Rufino have been preaching there every two weeks. Thank God for the 6 new believers who have come in response to the work of evangelist Saturnino and an additional 6 at the church in David. Pray for all of these new Christians to be faithful and to share the Good News of Jesus with others. Praise God for the water purification system that was installed in the Panamanian Indian village of Bahía Grande. This village has had many children die from drinking the unsafe water. They now have a pure water to drink. Pray that they will also receive the Living Water that Jesus Christ offers to them.
Master Provision - ministering in 13 countries Master Provision needs our continued prayers for their ministry, may God provide new sources of shoes, clothing and people to pack and load for the upcoming mission trips. Each container shipped involves many hours of documentation, often numerous problems and several weeks of travel from the shipping point to its destination. Please continually ask the Lord’s direction and care for each one, ease through customs and that its contents will provide the means of opening hearts to Christ.
Praise - We are thrilled at an awesome first five months at Master Provisions with 22 container projects completed to assist people in six countries. We are averaging about one container shipped per week and container demands are increasing in four nations. Our largest mission team ever now stands at 61 people ready to "Run the Race" for Jesus in Ukraine, June 27 - July 10. A large prayer request - Brent Hilmer, is a leader in Honduras building a church in a remote village. He chose to build a tree house adjacent to the work site. A young Honduran man, his helper, inadvertenly stepped onto an unsecured part of the tree house and fell. Unfortunately, some heavy materials fell on him and he died shortly thereafter. Please keep his family and Brent in prayer through this emotionally traumatic time. Also, pray for Trevor Colby, field missionary, who oversees the work there. Cross Roads - USA and MexicoParticipants for both Mexico and Kentucky both increased. We are just $20,000 short on the funding of our new facility Mexico. Our new directors for New Orleans are up and running. They have lots of new projects and new partnerships ready for the summer. Our church plant in Chalmette is moving along. Continue to pray for travel this summer. ( I had a very close call this spring.) Our interns are packed and heading to Louisville tomorrow for intern orientation. All this to say that each of these requests have been moving along wonderfully and that is answered prayer. I do have on very important prayer request for June 4th. One of our grant applications will be reviewed by the board of directors. Please be in prayer for a favorable response. The family made it through the spring travels well. Please pray that this will continue through the summer. - Rodney Harden
Tavriski Christian Institute – UkrainePraise God for supplying the recent financial needs (read copy of e-mail below).Praise that the accreditation for two of their programs was received.Tavriski Christian Institute – e-mailGreetings to you, our dear partners,
Thank you for your prayers, we have received the accreditation from EAAA on two of our programs. Thank you for your prayers during the time of the EAAA's visit to TCI.
Not so long ago we were fasting about our financial needs, because there is not enough money in our general account lately.
Yesterday after the church service I have decided to spend the entire afternoon with my family. We walked and played soccer with my children (Kiril - my son - is almost 6, and my daughter Sonya is almost 4). That same afternoon my son and I watered our little vineyard. And in the evening when we were reading the Bible, God gave me a special calm in my heart. We read about how Jesus fed 5000 men with two fishes and five breads. We were reading from the Bible for Children, so this story impressed me in a new way. I became very interested of the way how disciples felt when they didn't have enough bread to feed this entire crowd that came to see Jesus. They were very worried and wouldn't have minded to let all the people go unfed. But when Jesus had blessed the bread they were probably worried for a little while, and were sharing the first pieces of bread and fish very hesitatingly. But then something happened when they saw that the food keeps on coming. I think they rejoiced and started giving people as much as they wanted, they were very confident.
After reading this well-known story to my son and after God told me something very unusual through something well-known, and after my son felt asleep, I felt security and confidence in God.
Our dear Friends, it happened that my letter (the text you have just read) was not sent right away. And this allows me to conclude it with this: both of the stories, the one with the fish and the bread, and the one that happens here in the 21st century in Ukraine, end the same way. This last night we have received a letter from which we found out that our General account (daily operations account) has the amount of $13.000. Through this I can testify again of how Great is our God.
Dear friends, if you are a little upset and there is silence in your life and you don't hear the Voice of God, or maybe you don't notice His blessings, let me encourage you to keep on praying and maybe one day you would write a letter about your blessings so you could encourage the faith of your brothers in Christ!
