Queretero, Central Mexico
The National Bible Institute is located in Queretero, Mexico. The Institute is a co-ed college that currently has 31 students. The students study to become ministers during the week, and each weekend they take the gospel to adjacent areas.
Mexico has a large un-evangelized population. This is particularly true in Central Mexico where the Bible Institute is located. The Bible Institute is fully staffed by Mexican nationals. They are dedicated to raising up a trained leadership to effectively preach and plant congregations that can be self sustaining and in turn plant other congregations. While being trained, students actively participate in hands-on efforts throughout Mexico.
The Institute was originally established through the help of Workers for Mexico, an organization whose mission is to take the gospel of Christ to the people of Mexico through the support of national evangelists and benevolent works. Mexico is a country of 110 million people seeking to know God. Workers for Mexico presents the simple gospel of the New Testament Scripture and strives to serve with compassion as Jesus would, to also help children and the needy, in a country that struggles economically. All of the churches and works are located among the poorer colonies in towns and cities.
