Philippines, Southeast Asia

Max Hughes served on the staff at WRCC for approximately 3 years while Grace furthered her education in the US. After Grace obtained her Masters Degree, they returned to their beloved Philippines to continue their mission work. Asian Christian Outreach (ASCO) is a Filipino mission based in Negros Occidental, an island in the Central Philippines. ASCO's thrusts are Evangelism through the Good Shepherd Church and the 36 outreach churches, radio ministry, evangelistic crusades, Education through ASCO Bible School, Fortress College and Community concern through children's ministry and feeding programs.

ASCO was founded by Dr. Greg Tingson who was won to the Lord by an American missionary in 1937.

His eldest daughter, Grace, and her husband Max have served with ASCO as missionaries since 1995. They are presently serving with Fortress College which offers education from pre-school through college and technical/vocational courses. Grace serves as Vice President for Administration and Max serves as Chaplain. Thousands of students have come to know the Lord through the Bible classes and chapel services.

Max leads a men's ministry, Men Aflame, holding seminars that encourages and disciples men in their personal relationship with Christ. Grace has a ministry to women, speaks at ladies conferences and leads a team that conducts Spiritual Boot Camp seminars. Both Max and Grace hold weekly Bible studies in their home.

They have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
