Refuge Support Groups
"God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble" - Psalm 46:1
If you are hurting and in need of a safe place to meet with God, you are not alone. Many
of us struggle with deep issues that we are not equipped to handle alone. Perhaps, that is
because we are designed by our Creator to find true Peace and Serenity only in Him. We
are also created to participate in a community of faith where we find encouragement from
others who share similar struggles.
On Thursday evenings, following our new worship service, we are offering the following
REFUGE support groups from 8:00-9:00 pm:
GriefShare
GriefShare is a grief recovery support group where you can find help and healing for
the hurt of losing a loved one. GriefShare is a friendly, caring group of people who
will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t
have to go through the grieving process alone. Terri Jones and Dan Crosley, group co-facilitators.
Divorce Support
Divorce Support is a divorce recovery support group where you can find help and healing
for the hurt of separation and divorce. Most people will tell you that separation and
divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a
confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve
never faced before. Divorce Support meets weekly to help you face these challenges and
move toward rebuilding your life. Steve Linville, group facilitator.
Twelve Step Recovery
Twelve Step Recovery is a proven program of spiritual renewal for anyone who would
like to move from where they are today to where God intends for them to be. This
group is open to anyone who would like to explore the Biblical basis of the Twelve
Steps in a caring and supportive environment. Recovering addicts, alcoholics, family
members and friends are all welcome. Dave Snyder, group facilitator.
