Announcement on Measles Concerns & Response - We are OPEN FOR CHURCH THIS WEEKEND!
With the recent outbreak of measles in Hamilton County we are being proactive to help keep your family safe. We are taking every precaution possible to protect the health of our church community. Measles is easily spread from infected individuals to people who are not immune. Please take this opportunity to place the health of your family first.
We will be opening the Babies and Preschool Ministry for this weekend. Please understand that we cannot assure that we are a measles free facility. We recommend that any child that has not been immunized stay home for at least one more week.
Our facilities are completely safe and sanitized; this measure is due to the person-to-person nature of measles transmission. In other words, per the advisement of the Indiana Department of Health, we encourage participation only if you fit these criteria:

In the last few years, the need for ministries that are specific to preteens has begun to grow throughout America. Many church leaders are beginning to realize that when it comes to an effective understanding of Jesus, our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students need more! They need more time, space, and resources. They need us to stop lumping them into programs that are either too young or too old. They need us to begin intentionally teaching them. It was from this need that the idea for a weekend event specifically designed for preteens was born.
After recognizing this need, Christ In Youth called on the talents and passions of preteen leader, Patrick Snow, who had a huge heart for ministry directed at preteens. CIY brought Patrick in as the director of SuperStart! in August of 2005. With some very creative thinking and lots of hard work, SuperStart! was launched. In that first year, SuperStart! hosted about 2,000 preteens and leaders. A short six years and 12,000 attendees later, SuperStart! is the BIGGEST Christian Preteen Event in the country.
SuperStart! provides a safe environment for students to learn and grow in their relationships with their friends, their leaders, and most importantly with God. Throughout the event, your preteens will encounter Christ through high-energy worship, interactive teaching, and small groups all designed with their needs in mind. When you bring your preteen students to SuperStart! you can be sure that they will leave with not only a great weekend experience, but also the teachings and foundation to further amplify Christ’s call on their lives to become Kingdom Workers.

Preteens are in transition from childhood to adolescence. As they prepare to make this transition, they begin to search and discover the answers to questions like, “what am I good at?” and “where do I fit in?” But what they are really trying to discover within themselves is, “What am I here for?” Preteens often try to answer this question through athletics, academics, talents, and relationships. This year at SuperStart!, our aim is to help your preteens understand that the true answer to this question can only be found in God. By looking at Romans 11:36, we’ll help them understand that they were truly made by God, through Christ, and ultimately for His glory.
Get ready to experience the wild and wacky SuperStart! MAD LAB. During the 2011-2012 tour your preteens will get to meet and interact with a crazy mad science team as they perform educational yet mind blowing science demonstrations. Mix that together with worship and Biblical teaching and you get a weekend full of laughing, learning, and coming to know the true purpose of what God made us to do.
