WRCC Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)

Even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. (Psalm 139:10)

MOPS is a Christ-Centered ministry that strives to meet the mission that NO mom should be alone! This group is for soon-to-be mothers as well as mothers of infants through kindergarten age. Together all moms, from all walks of life can come together and celebrate and walk through motherhood because we all have that in common!

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is committed to meeting the needs of mothers by providing:
  • a haven for soothing frazzled nerves and forming lifelong friendships
  • a quality children's program where little ones are loved and cared for
  • teaching by experienced mothers and other professionals who share biblical truths and practical ways to fulfill the varied roles of mother, wife and woman
  • fellowship with other women where you can share your thoughts and feelings on motherhood, marriage and the art of homemaking
  • a place to gain perspective and balance in a group that helps to bring out the best in moms
Where and When:
  • MOPS meets at WRCC in the Discovery Room on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 9:00-11:00am (September - May only).
  • Where: WRCC Discovery Room
  • Registration Cost: To be announced; scholarships available
  • MOPPETS Volunteers Needed

Anyone interested in serving our moms and children on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month from September until May, please contact our MOPPETS coordinator, Sandi Miller smiller4440@yahoo.com. MOPS moms will be volunteering to serve in MOPPETS one time during the year in order to cut down on their cost of membership. This will allow for more ladies to be part of this wonderful ministry.

If interested in serving our moms as a mentor mom, please contact Laura Fitzgerald: larftiz@gmail.com.

2012 Theme:

MomSense: Bold - Loving - Sensible - equips moms to embrace their mothering instincts and develop their own parenting style while navigating through the myriad of daily mom decisions.   Most women wonder:

  • How do I decide what to do when I really don't know what to do?
  • Should I trust my intuition?
  • With so much available information, how do I discern what's best?
  • What are the most important family values?

Developing a mothering strategy is somewhat like playing a game - and this year's theme is appropriately game related.  Have fun being a mom!  Playing games involves being bold and taking risks, loving those in the game with us and being sensible while figuring out what works and what doesn't.
