Important Announcement, 2/22/2012:

Announcement on Measles Concerns & Response - We are OPEN FOR CHURCH THIS WEEKEND!

With the recent outbreak of measles in Hamilton County we are being proactive to help keep your family safe. We are taking every precaution possible to protect the health of our church community. Measles is easily spread from infected individuals to people who are not immune. Please take this opportunity to place the health of your family first.

We will be opening the Babies and Preschool Ministry for this weekend. Please understand that we cannot assure that we are a measles free facility. We recommend that any child that has not been immunized stay home for at least one more week.

Our facilities are completely safe and sanitized; this measure is due to the person-to-person nature of measles transmission. In other words, per the advisement of the Indiana Department of Health, we encourage participation only if you fit these criteria:

  1. You are fully immunized (one shot for adults, two for children) or otherwise immune from measles (e.g., from contracting it in the past)
  2. You are healthy and not pregnant
  3. You are older than age six

see itA believe weekend is so many things. It's about you connecting with your students. It's about your students connecting with the Word. A believe weekend is intentional and for jr. high students only.

experience it

Two-days at believe will change your students' lives. Believe uses tactile and interactive experience stations, structured free time, intentional small group times within the group, and engaging worship that will bring your students to moments of crazy energy and contemplation before God. Throughout the event, we use God’s word, inspiring stories, and community encounters that will lead to conversations and lots of FUN! It is highly engaging and a dynamic program that creates small group opportunities that will open doors to your junior high ministry. Believe promises to be an intense, inspiring, and amazing experience for jr. highers of any walk.

We believe that the Bible is the fully inspired Word of God. Faith in Jesus and obedience to His teachings are essential for salvation. Jesus is fully God. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died a death of atonement on a cross, was bodily resurrected, and is coming again in judgment of all men. Heaven and Hell are literal, as taught in the Bible. CIY is committed to the restoration of New Testament teaching, principles, and practices

Learn more about the tour!

One of the most important things we can do is to point kids to God's Word. Daily feeding all the kids in our ministries isn't feasible. They eventually must become people of the Word themselves.  The 2012 Believe tour is going to take a full weekend to point kids to the awesome power of God's Word.  Even as our staff has discussed elements to involve kids we found ourselves struck with the triteness used to simply say, “God's Word”. These are, in fact, the very WORDS OF GOD. These words should be said slowly and with great awe!  Many questions remain in the hearts of our kids: how do we know this IS God's word; how did we get an English version & how do we KNOW it's a correct translation? Did the places and people recorded in the Bible ever really exist?

Join the Believe team as JP and Eric take your kids on an epic journey discovering the very places where Moses heard from God or where Jesus taught the five thousand. Ultimately, kids will be challenged to respond to the Word of God and begin hiding it in their hearts.

Many kids have seen pictures of the promise land or biblically historic places in Rome. While at Believe, JP will be a peer to peer bridge, connecting kids to the reality of God's Kingdom in historical places around the world.  The videos will serve as educational pieces that also build JP's credibility when speaking live on stage at Believe.  Every talk JP gives live will be launched from the video content and will also include an archeological artifact (recreated model or actual artifact from the Vankampen collection) that supports the authenticity of God's Word.

JP has a personal interest and connection to Biblical archeology that is evident as she speaks authoritatively on the subject.  Her grandfather worked the last 20 years of his life preserving rare Bible manuscripts from around the world in an effort to increase Biblical literacy and appreciation for those who've died defending it.

In a culture where truth is relevant and kids accept computer generated images as reality, Believe will go to the places where God became flesh and dwelt among us. Through eyewitness accounts we will point to actual places and people God used to bring us His Word.
