Leadership Team

Sherri Stetnish is the Women's Ministry Director.  You can read all about Sherri on her Bio Page.

Lynda Shade has learned that every season of a women’s life is special and at each season we have lessons to learn and lessons to give. Lynda’s heart is full of joy to be allowed to continue to serve in this same church body over all these years. Lynda knows that we will be better wives, daughters, sisters and friends if we allow our Lord to lead and we share our experiences and our strength.

Stu and Lynda have been married for 25 wonderful years. They have two awesome twenty something daughters, Ashley and Taylor. Stu and Lynda have lived in Fishers for the last 24 years. (Boy, have they seen changes!) They have attended White River Christian Church FOREVER! Okay, that’s not exactly true. Lynda joined in 1972 which was the charter year for the church. Stu joined in 1980 as they began to date and Stu served as an elder in the church for many years.

Lynda is currently on staff at Noblesville Christian School. Working at NCS and serving in the Women’s Ministry has kept her right in the center of God’s will. God asked her to make some decisions regarding this next season of my life as an empty nester. The question was; “is this time going to be about you, your direction and your career or about Me?” It’s about Him. She enjoys serving Him in both of these capacities and seeing Him in the eyes and lives of those She ministers to.

Jeannie Watson has a Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from the University of South Florida.  She is happily married to Jerry and together they have 7 grown children and 10 precious and adorable grandchildren.

Jeannie’s work at White River Christian Church and Noblesville Christian School has been an incredible journey.  A member of WRCC since 1982, Jeannie has seen many changes not only to the church building, but also to the growth of the church family.  Jeannie was hired by WRCC in 1985 to direct and lead teach the Little Blessings Christian Preschool.  As the preschool grew, so did Jeannie’s responsibilities.  In 2001, Jeannie’s position had grown to principal of Noblesville Christian School.  After 11 years at the preschool and school, Jeannie retired in June, 2006, to enjoy her family and to assist her husband with his business.

Jeannie finds herself incredibly busy in retirement as she continues as a board member for Noblesville Christian School and a regular volunteer.  She is active in women’s ministry on the management team.  She has a passion for studying God’s Word and oversees the mentoring program (Hearts of Gold).  Jeannie loves to meet with women one on one (over coffee) and has spoken at women’s retreats and has led small groups.

Jeannie’s future includes watching her children and grandchildren grow and supporting her husband’s business endeavor.  She loves to walk, read, sing, scrapbook, have lunch with friends, spend time with her children and play with her grandchildren.  She lives on several acres in the country near Atlanta, IN, and treasures her quiet living space as she continues to draw closer to God in this season of her life.

Amanda Rempe has joined the Women's Management Team. Amanda has been married to Ben for almost six years. They have a daughter named Summer, Chuckles and Ivy (dogs) and Fish Rempe (Summer’s fish). They joined WRCC in 2004 and love it.  Spending time with her family is very important to them.  Camping, being outdoors, shopping, or watching movies at home are just some of the ways to find them in their free time.

Ways to describe Amanda would be: gabby, energetic, passionate, loves to learn and has been known to be rather goofy at times. Amanda would be walking and talking to someone and walk right into a wall.  Amanda enjoys photography, scrapbooking, addicted to reading (Kingsbury, Wick, Peterson, and the Bible), and she can not chew my gum without swallowing it.  Ben bought a pack of Stride gum (the everlasting kind) and asked her an hour later if she liked it and if it still had flavor, but she couldn't tell him because she had swallowed it in less than 15 minutes.

Amanda's favorite foods are On the Borders' chips and salsa, diet coke, and Coldstones' dark chocolate with heath bar. (Sometimes even in that order).  She loves warm weather and a good book. Amanda doesn't like seafood or Ben's pranks (She is an easy target). One time when it was 10:00 at night and the house was pitch black, she was rounding the corner of the kitchen to go to bed and Ben jumped out and made some growling noise.  Amanda literally jumped out of her slippers and back two feet.

Amanda is inspired by her husband and people who have a hunger for God's word.  Amanda's goal and purpose as Women’s Management Team member is to encourage women to become godly wives, mothers, and sisters in Christ.

Melinda Miller has been a Christian since she was 8 years old, it has only been in the past 8-9 years that she has become increasingly aware of God’s intimate and real presence in her life.  Being a wife and mother has taught her beautiful lessons of love from our heavenly Father, and she longs to share her Father and her faith with others.

Melinda and her husband Doug have been married nearly 11 years and have 3 children – Meredith, Mallory, and Max.  They’ve lived in Noblesville since they got married and have been members of WRCC for about 9 years – "boy, have we witnessed God’s mighty power in His church"!

By profession, Melinda is an English teacher and will be returning to the classroom at Noblesville High School this fall after a 2-year hiatus of being a full-time stay-at-home mom.  Her husband, children, and teaching keep her hopping, but God has been leading her to work more purposefully and fervently for His church and for His people.

Tanya Howard is a native of Noblesville.  She and her husband Paul have been married for 19 years and they have a 15 year-old son Jared.  They have attended White River since May of 2007 and joined the church in July of 2007.

Tanya was raised in a Christian home and was saved when she was 14 but was reconnected with God in 1999.  She has gotten plugged in quickly at White River by joining the Servant Leadership Team and now the Women’s Ministry Management Team.

You will often find Tanya exercising, rollerblading, walking or lounging by the pool on a sunny summer day.   She and Paul own HMC Screen Printing in downtown Noblesville and enjoy working and living life together.  She enjoys getting to know others in bible studies and looks forward to working with all the women on the management team for all the women of White River.
