Core ValueCONFIDENCE "For you have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth" ~ Psalm 71:5, NIV Our goal in the Jr. High Ministry is to encourage students to be confident in who God is, who they are in Christ Jesus, and in what they believe about God. Aside from this, we follow the same values that our church as a whole see as important. These can be found below or here. Evangelize the Lost Our students have a great opportunity to show the love of Jesus to people. They can get to places we can't get and reach students in ways we are unable to. Every time a student enters their school doors, they are going into a mission field. We do our best to equip our students for this very situation. If our kids understand what it is to be a believer, then they can be a light wherever they go. Build Mature Disciples Obviously, a student is not going to be able to share their faith with anyone else if they don't understand it themselves. By pouring into our kids through teaching, worship, and community, we believe that we are helping them go deeper in their walk with Christ. By connecting to God through the study of His Word, prayer, and connection with other believers, we believe our students are well on their way to being a great example. Be the Hands & Feet of Jesus We have been called to make a difference in our world. The GREAT COMMISSION encourages us to share the Gospel message through the act of serving. We are called to use our gifts, whatever they may be, to serve God and others. In Jr. High Ministry, we strive to give our students a well-balanced approach to their growth in Christ. The Bible is our number one source in all teaching, however we do incorporate the framework of The Seven Checkpoints to make sure we're targeting key issues that impact the lives of our students. |
