Tell us about him: Brian is your everyday creative genius. Not really . . . he just thinks it's fun to design stuff, web sites, videos, brochures, etc. He thinks he's funny, but those around him know better. He is just your average right-brainer . . . a bit crazy, but completely harmless.

Where he learned his stuff: Brian graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Northern Illinois University. His first gig out of school was editing video and producing corporate productions. His interest in all things video quickly became an obsession, as he passionately developed his creative and technical skills. Over the coming years his interest in creating media brought him into all realms of interactive and design and development. He developed his skills while working at various video production and design agencies throughout Chicago and Indianapolis.

Family Guy: Brian married his high school sweetheart and together they have two children that they adore. Originally from the western suburbs of Chicago, Brian's family relocated to the Indianapolis area several years ago. They instantly fell in love with the new life they found in Hamilton County.

What makes him laugh: Brian laughs at a lot of things, especially his kids. Their humor is the best, completely genuine and sweet.

What is his pet peeve: Brian's pet peeve is un-labeled CD's and DVD's, aka "coasters". For goodness sakes people, just take a sharpie and write on the disk. What is so hard about that?

What makes him cry: Sappy country songs get him every time.

What is his greatest fear: Bad 80's horror movies.

His Specialty: Brian's core skill is creativity. Combining all his various technical, software, and leadership skills to further the kingdom of God. His passion is to serve the Body of Christ through effective and innovative communication.

So, what does Brian do at White River? Brian is the Director of Communications at White River. That big fancy title means a lot of things at many different times. On Sunday morning he can be found in the sound booth overseeing the sound, lights, and projection. During the week he can be found designing print media, editing and shooting video, and managing the web site. Brian tries his best to keep up with the staff's communication and marketing needs. He is constantly trying to find new and better ways to communicate the mission, vision, and values of God's Church.

Best thing about working at White River: The best thing about working at White River is the team environment. The leadership team truly seeks after God's will for the His Church. It is humbling to work beside truly talented people every day.

What inspires him? Good design. Design with a purpose that is clean and effective. Good and innovative design can be found in all art forms.

When he's not here: One thing that he likes to do, but does not do enough, is mountain biking. There is something special about communing with nature on two wheels that move on your own power. There is joy in the pain that shoots through your legs in the middle of a big climb. And pure happiness in gliding down the other side.

Secret Ambition: Well, that would be a close tie. His first secret ambition would be to become a professional jazz trumpet player. He started college as a music major, and has never quite let go of that part of himself. His second secret ambition is to be a film editor on a major hollywood production, Just once. It would be totally cool. Like way cool.
