Let's see--I do a lot of support and I love to exercise. Does that make me an athletic supporter?

What she loves about working at WRCC? All the grape juice I can drink! Plus, I only live about 2 miles away--I mean, have you seen the price of gas?

Where she learned her stuff: I attended Butler University and Concordia University and have a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. I was born and raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior when I was 14 years old.

Other things she does for WRCC: My husband David and I also serve by teaching the 3-year-olds' Sunday school class every week, but most of the time, we learn more than the kids. I also work with the Lite Hearted group. I just LOVE to encourage other women in their efforts to live healthier lives.

Significant others in her life: David and I have been very happily married since 1996 and have one daughter, Morgan, born in 1997. We have a dog, Mandy, too, but she's not really that significant. My personal heroes are Paul Harvey (a truly great American) and Ronald Reagan (the greatest conservative and best president to who ever lived).

When she's not at WRCC: When we are not busy with Morgan's school and sporting events, my family enjoys riding bikes, going to the Y, playing tennis, and bowling. We LOVE to play cards (Hand & Foot players, please email me!) And we decided as a family that we are going to attempt to hike at every state park in Indiana before Morgan graduates high school. Right now, Morgan thinks that's pretty cool--wonder how long that will last!

What others are saying about her: My husband David describes me as, "considerate, fun, pretty, smart, and a good mommy." Now you know why we've been married for 12 years—he knows just what I like to hear!

Hobbies:

  • weight lifting
  • running--I don't really like it, but I do it so I can eat more and if aliens ever invade, I probably won't be bringing up the rear.
  • riding roller coasters
  • reading--I love to read about politics, exercise, and nutrition. I still eat junk food, but at least I feel guilty for it.
  • talking about politics--but never with my in-laws!
  • listening to talk radio
  • watching LOST--I never miss it.
  • watching Judge Judy--I love her!
  • crunching ice--I REALLY love it. No. I mean REALLY.
  • listening to Harry Connick, Jr--I have been to over 30 of his concerts over the last two decades and I believe he is the standard by which all musicians should be judged.

Pet peeves:

  • people who chew with their mouths open
  • TV shows that are "to be continued," but you don't know it until the last 2 minutes of the episode
  • emails typed in ALL CAPS--I feel like I'm being scolded for something.
  • video games--I really don't like playing them.
  • the smell of latex--gloves or balloons, it doesn't matter, but it's why I hate going to the dentist or birthday parties.
  • Oprah Winfrey--I just don't get it.

Bet you didn't know:
If you're still reading, I don't know what you could POSSIBLY still want to know, but here are some random facts about me:

  • I can only eat M&M's two at at time. If there is one left at the end of the pack, I throw it out. (OK, not really, I buy another pack and hope to pair it up. Sometimes it takes 3 or 4 packs to get an even number!)
  • I share a birth date (February 28) with the Republican Party and Mario Andretti. Therefore, I drive really fast, but I can only turn right.
  • I don't have nails on my baby toes, so I paint them on with nail polish. So to answer the question, they're fake.
  • Did I mention earlier that I love to crunch ice? I REALLY, REALLY do.
  • I truly hate to cook. I prefer to support the local economy and eat out.
  • I hate peas. If I have to eat them, I swallow them whole, one at at time so I don't have to chew them.
  • I was voted"BIGGEST HAIR" in high school. Believe me, I earned it. If your 401k invests in Aqua Net, thank me later.
  • I eat Fiber One every single day--that's why I'm always in such a good mood.
OK, if you're STILL reading, I don't know what else I could possibly tell you. You'll have to contact my mother or Dr. Phil for more information.
