What he does for WRCC: No, not everything. He's the first to admit that. Instead he hunkers down on the areas of his giftedness; loving God's people & communicating God's word.

What is his favorite Bible verse? Luke 6:35, "Then your reward will be great and you will be sons and daughters of the Most High, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked."

What he cherishes: His wife, Becky and their two daughters; Emilee & Mary Blake.

Where he learned his stuff:

• Love for God's Word from his great grandfather Jim Brooks
• Blue collar work ethic from his parents on the family farm
• Jesus deserves only excellence from his older brother Scott
• B.A. from Johnson Bible College in 1987
• M.Div. from Candler School of Theology, Emory University in 1995

What makes him cry? The lost; when his girls have been hurt; disappointing God

What he enjoys? Sweet tea; cornbread & beans; Tennessee Volunteers; vacationing with his family;

What is his greatest fear? Mediocrity, waking up someday and knowing that he did less than his absolute best for Jesus' church & his girls!

What are his hobbies? Rollerblading, skeet shooting & manicuring his lawn.
