If Jesus Facebooked

Jesus wasn’t a loner, he did life with others. Friends, family, disciples and even those who didn’t believe in him, didn't like him. There were several things that Jesus did or didn’t do that caused others to question him. Over the next several weeks we are going to look at how Jesus handled life and issues in the midst of his people. We will learn how to do life with others in ALL of our social networks, family, co-workers, small groups, even the stuff we do online...like Facebook!

What is Facebook?

Facebook is a social network on the internet. In non-computer terms, it’s a virtual “place” where a person can create their very own account. This account becomes a sort of living page or place . . . a space to share information about you and your life. The idea is to keep your Facebook account updated with pictures and information about your life and family and anything else going with you.

What’s the point of putting all this information on your facebook account or page? Well, the other folks on Facebook want to know! And who are the other folks on Facebook? They are the people you know now and have known and lost over your life. Your grade school friends, your college friends, the friends you had that you lost touch with after you moved, and most importantly, your current friends and relatives. And it’s very easy to find them all. And it’s very fun and interesting to view their page and see their pictures and information about their life and family and anything else going on with them. It’s a great way to stay connected and to renew connections. There is even a way to let everyone know what you are doing right now . . .
