Your Calling This is the place to get connected to a Place to Serve. God has given White River Christian Church a clear vision and we are enlisting the help of the church family to make it a reality. We feel compelled to help each member of WRCC find thier calling. You can use this simple formula to determine your calling: TIME + PASSION + GIFTS = CALLING Time -God has given you exactly the same amount of time as everyone else in the entire world. The difference is how you use your time to further the Kingdom of God. Because we all have responsibilities (family, job, etc), God has also appointed the necessary amount of time for you to serve Him as He leads you. Determine the amount of time God would ask of you to serve Him and others. Passion -God has given you interests and passions that are not by mistake. Each of us has a unique contribution to the Kingdom of God. If you are an organizer, sports freak, teacher, caregiver, leader, or love kids, you should pursue opportunities to serve God as it relates to those interests in your life. Gifts -God has given you specific gifts to use for ministering to others. Each gift is given for the purpose of glorifying God and building His kingdom. Discover your gift(s) and seek ways to use those gifts for God. (If you are unaware of your spiritual gifts, take the assessment provided for you here at wrcc.org) The OpportunitiesWe want to develop kingdom leaders. The following categories help you begin and continue the journey of God working in and through your life. - HELPER -These entry level opportunities are task oriented, require minimal commitment or spiritual maturity, are a 1 time service, and provide a great environment to investigate your spiritual gifts.
- SUPPORTER -If you're ready for a little more commitment and responsibility, these positions offer a chance to match your spiritual gifts with opportunties to provide ministry assistance on a regular basis.
- LEADER -Finding the exact fit for your time, passions, and gifts provides you the opporutnity to lead a specific ministry area. Giving oversight to other participants and significant contribution to the ministry requires a deeper commitment and spiritual maturity.
- DIRECTOR -Those within our body who are experiencing the deepest calling of God on their lives are offered the opportunity to facilitate ministry, working beside our pay staff as a volunteer ministry director. Strong leadership abilities, a servant's heart, a deep spiritual maturity, and a strong commitment to the vision and values of WRCC are required.
