Join the White River Online Community

As a part of White River Christian Church, you are welcome to use and become part of our Online Community. The Online Community is a great way to get connected to what is happening at White River and take your steps in your faith. When you log in, you will be able to see your own profile information, the groups you are participating in, the positions you hold, your own giving record, events you might be interested in, and easily communicate with other members, and much more! You can update your profile information and make sure that our records are correct. Also, you can fill in some of the "fun" information like the activities you enjoy, the music styles you prefer, your favorite radio station, and more, so that others can get to know you better.

More About Giving Statments
We encourage you to check your giving records at WRCC on a regular basis to keep yourself on track with your personal financial goals and priorities. Giving statements are available at an time through our Online Community. To find your giving statements check the Financial Tab under your profile. To get your giving statement for both yourself and your spouse you must be on the Financial Tab of your Family Profile. Your family profile contains all the information for your entire family.

How do I use the online community?
The best way to see what the White River Online Community is about, is to visit the website and use your login and password and "look around". If you decide you don't want to be part of the community, you can at anytime request to be "unlisted" and merely discontinue using it. It works as a personal calendar, a church calendar, a program of events, and a communication tool between members and groups. We hope that you will be able to get better connected by participating in "Discussions", looking for "Groups" that may be of interest to you and then joining one! You may also find a place to use your gifts by looking at our volunteer "Positions".

HOW TO JOIN:

1. Sign-up for a username and password | Sign-Up Now
2. Check your email and retrieve your username and password. Please allow for up to 48 hours for this email to arrive.
3. Follow the instructions in the welcome email.
4. Change you Password to something easy to remember.
5. Update your personal information.
6. Have fun and connect with others.

Is my information private?
While our database contains anyone who is on our mailing list and our website is public, our online community is private in that only those who have login and passwords assigned to them can join in. After your request has been accepted, you will be given login and password information. You can decide whether to participate and whether your information will be “listed” to other Online Members or “unlisted”. Unlisted information is not seen by anyone beyond our staff and key leaders with “administrative privileges” who contact individuals requesting information or for use as a mailing list. All individual information gathered to our database is “unlisted” until an individual Online Member requests it to be “listed”.

What are the guidelines for use?
Please protect the privacy of fellow Members! Violating any of these guidelines will result in blocked access. By becoming an Online Community Member you agree to the following rules of use:

• The Online Community is intended for personal and ministry use. It is not for solicitation of any kind. Do not use it for business purposes or for ministry, groups, etc. outside of the White River community.
• Protect the privacy of members by not giving their phone number etc., to others outside of the Online Community. If you would like someone’s number and they are “unlisted”, please ask them directly. White River cannot give out this information without prior consent. Our leaders use this private information with care.
• Do not send emails that are not necessary and requested, e.g. jokes, stories, petitions, etc. Use the Online Community with care and courtesy for personal and friendly communication. Even if it’s interesting, funny or important, do not send unsolicited information. Do not add members to email lists outside the Online Community without prior consent.
• Members who engage in discussions are not to “slam” other groups, churches or organizations or attempt to solicit members for outside groups or organizations. Keep the Online Discussions and emails personal, positive and profitable. Discussions will be monitored.
• Online Members who become inactive at White River or who do not follow these guidelines and/or abuse the Online Community, will have their login access blocked.
• Members are to inform the web administrator, Brian Hansen at bhansen@wrcc.org, of any problems so a resolution can be found.
